New Sun Road

New Sun Road produces modular, smart microgrid systems designed to deliver reliable and renewable electricity and internet infrastructure to underserved communities in the developing world. With more than 1 billion people left in the dark by traditional infrastructure, New Sun Road is building “bottom-up” power systems through their proprietary microgrid architecture and live monitoring tools. New Sun Road deployed their first pilot system in Uganda in the summer of 2015 and won a competitive Microsoft Affordable Access Initiative grant in 2016.
