Cortera enables the measurement and wireless transmission of electrical signals from the surface of the cerebral cortex. Cortera received significant funding from the National Institutes of Health BRAIN Initiative. They  are  leveraging  this funding to continue their technology development, including required FDA testing. Their commercial product is still long-term, and this grant positions them to be one of the premier brain-interface companies.
